The colour version was made with Picasa, quick and dirty work. The black and white was done with Adobe Lightroom, the first time I use it, and I really like it. I tried to enhance the skin's details, I love that neck! As you can guess, I pumped up the cyans a lot too.

Well, the b & w is a world apart. More intense, softer, tougher, more cake ... usually (but not always!) emphasizes the textures, emphasizes the forms, volumes and increased staff makes the final result of the work. Objectively I like b & w for allegedly photographing what you want is to model and not his hat. In color photography, the hat is well defined and attracts attention by its color. In the b & w is the skin of the model that attracts the attention of the viewer, it seems that we are in a more intimate and personal. The texture of the window is more highlighted with photography in b & w and this helps to close and more intimate yet, the level of depth or distance from the model. I like a little b & w, too.
